Intensive ESL Program for students who has less than PBT450/CBT133/iBT45.
Shepherd University is providing an additional English Program with separate fees for those who don't meet with the minimum requirement of English proficiency to start our RN and LVN courses. The program is scheduled 4 times a year, starting in January, March, July and October, regardless of what your English level may be. For the program, you may select 30 lessons or 20 lessons per week from 5 different levels, which focuses on speaking, writing, comprehension and grammar. Each course is intended to prepare the students and to give them self-confidence to start their RN or LVN studies in the following 2 years.
Or, if you wish, you may attend other English institutions of your choice with your own customized language training. Our full time language course (ESL) is different from other language classes since they are tailored towards the 2-year RN or LVN studies.

Remark:
1) If a student has failed the English test for his/her VISA-SCREEN after passing the NCLEX test, they can choose to take alternative language training at an additional monthly fee of $300 per month.
2) You can take the NCLEX at any time during the last half of your second school year at Shepherd University. You are allowed to take the NCLEX twice a year and you have the flexibility of choosing the exam date. Admission to the LVN course is limited to those who have an Associated Degree. A high score on English Proficiency tests does not guarantee you admission to the program, however, you can schedule an interview to make your VISA-SCREEN much faster.

Tuition Refund Policy:

When it is necessary for a student to withdraw from the university or from a class or classes, refunds will be made to the student according to the following schedule.

100% refund at the end of the first week
75% refund at the end of the second week
50% refund at the end of the third week
0% refund after the fourth week

1. If you enter the United States with I-20 from the Shepherd University, a student must stay with our school for at least 6 month from the date of entrance.

2. If you wish to transfer to another school, you're eligible for doing so after two semesters at Shepherd University.

3. The refund payment will be issued after three month from the day a student request the refund.

4. For those who registered for monthly IELTS class , and those who registered for NCLEX-RN package, there is not refund after the first day of the class.
